10-Day “Footsteps of the Pharaoh” Journey
- Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Arrive at Cairo International Airport where Severius’ Egypt Tour Manager welcomes you. Transfer to your hotel. After settling in, receive an orientation briefing and set the tone for the days ahead. Overnight in Cairo hotel. - Day 2: Saqqara Necropolis & Pyramids at Dahshur
Explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara Necropolis, the ancient site built by Imhotep in the 27th century BC. Later enjoy local cuisine before heading to the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid at Dahshur. Return to your hotel in Cairo for the evening. - Day 3: Giza Pyramids & Egyptian Museum
Marvel at the Giza Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus and the Great Sphinx with guided insights. Then visit the Egyptian Museum to view priceless relics, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. Overnight in Cairo. - Day 4: Flight to Luxor & Nile Cruise Board
Take morning internal flight to Luxor. Embark on a 5-star Nile cruise ship. Visit the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple complex as the sun sets. Overnight aboard cruise. - Day 5: Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Temple, Sail to Edfu
Explore the West Bank of Luxor: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch aboard cruise then sail toward Edfu; dinner and overnight onboard. Optionally at sunrise enjoy a hot air balloon over Luxor. - Day 6: Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples
After breakfast, visit the well-preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu. Later in the afternoon disembark to see Kom Ombo Temple dedicated to Sobek & Horus. Evening onboard, with cultural ambiance and themed entertainment. - Day 7: Aswan: Philae, High Dam & Nubian Village
Dock in Aswan. Explore the Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, the Aswan High Dam, and walk through a nearby Nubian village to experience local culture, crafts, and hospitality. - Day 8: Abu Simbel (Optional) & Return to Cairo
Early optional excursion to Abu Simbel to witness the monumental temples of Ramses II and Nefertari before they were relocated above water. Later fly back from Aswan to Cairo. Evening at leisure. - Day 9: Alexandria Day Trip
Depart Cairo for Alexandria. Tour the iconic Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey’s Pillar, and the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Return to Cairo for your final night. - Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, check out. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home, ending a rich journey through the land of Pharaohs.
