This 7-day safari is a fully serviced mobile camping experience in Botswana’s premier wilderness areas, blending comfort and adventure. Starting in Maun, you journey through Moremi / Khwai, into the predator-rich Savuti, then to the Chobe floodplain and riverfront before ending in Kasane. The tour is “non-participation” style: all camp chores are handled by the Bush Ways team, allowing you to simply immerse in wildlife, rivers, skies, and stars while staying in large, well-equipped tents with ensuite bush ablutions.
The safari begins in Maun, a lively town known as the gateway to the Okavango Delta. From here, you travel into the Moremi and Khwai regions, where lush wetlands, riverine forests, and floodplains provide a haven for elephants, antelopes, and big cats. The adventure continues into the legendary Savuti, a dry, wildlife-rich corner of Chobe National Park famous for its lions and dramatic predator-prey interactions. After Savuti, the journey carries on to the fertile Chobe Floodplains, where vast herds of elephants, buffalo, and zebra gather along the river’s edge. The tour concludes in Kasane, a thriving safari hub on the banks of the Chobe River and a gateway to both Botswana’s wilderness and the nearby Victoria Falls.

Fully Serviced Wilderness Route
South-Bound Fully Serviced Tour
- Day 1: Maun to Moremi / Khwai
Your safari begins in Maun at 07:30. After meeting your guides and fellow travellers, depart through bush roads into Moremi / Khwai, a dynamic wilderness of swamps, riverine forest, and floodplains. Game drives fill the afternoon and evening, offering the first chance to spot herds and predators. You sleep in a spacious canvas dome tent set up at private designated campsite, complete with bush ensuite ablutions. - Day 2: Exploring Moremi / Khwai and Mokoro Excursion
Wake early for a sunrise game drive. Mid-morning, enjoy a mokoro excursion down a tributary of the Khwai River, gliding quietly along the water to view wildlife from new angles. Afternoon allows for rest or another drive. Evening brings another safari under the golden light, returning to camp for dinner. - Day 3: Moremi / Khwai to Savuti (Chobe National Park)
After breakfast, drive south toward the Savuti region of Chobe National Park. The landscape shifts to drier plains and open savannahs. En route, watch for elephant herds, predators, wild dogs, and opportunistic wildlife taking advantage of changing water patterns. Arrive at the Savuti campsite and settle in for the evening’s short game drive. - Day 4: Deep Savuti Safaris
Full day of game drives in Savuti. The region is noted for its large predators, including lions, hyenas, sometimes wild dogs, plus elephant herds. The Savuti Channel has revived, transforming landscapes and attracting wildlife. Sunset creates dramatic light for photography before dinner back at bush camp. - Day 5: Savuti to Chobe Floodplain
Depart Savuti after early morning game drive and begin journey toward the Chobe floodplains. The floodplain is lush, attracting large herds of buffalo, zebra, antelope; predators follow the prey. Late afternoon river cruise allows observation of life at the water’s edge—hippos, crocodiles, elephants. Overnight at floodplain campsite. - Day 6: Chobe Floodplain Full Days
Spend the day exploring Chobe Floodplain via game drives and riverfront safaris. The water’s edge is alive with wildlife; the light at dawn and dusk is spectacular. Expect animal sightings in high density. Evening around camp under stars. - Day 7: Final Game Drive & Drop-off in Kasane
On the final morning, take one last early game drive for elusive creatures you’ve not yet sighted. After breakfast, depart for Kasane, arriving around midday. The tour ends there; from Kasane, you can arrange onward travel or accommodation.
